MEBA PREPARES TO SHOW ITS WORTH
Around 60 Aircraft to be displayed at MEBA
Dubai, UAE. 29 October 2012 –The Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA) event is welcoming more than 60 aircraft to the static with some of them appearing for the first time in the region. MEBA takes place 11 to 13 December 2012 at Dubai’s Al Maktoum International Airport – Dubai World Central.
Organised on behalf of the Middle East Business Aviation Association (MEBAA), the last MEBA show in 2010 showcased 48 aircraft, 338 exhibitors from 33 countries and 6,200 visitors - MEBA 2012 is expecting up to 7,000 visitors and 375 exhibitors.
The business aviation sector will converge at MEBA for three days, to experience a floor plan dedicated to corporate jet manufacturers and suppliers, combined with a display of the latest state of the art aircraft.
The fifth running of the series in December promises 46,500sqm of outdoor static display with up to 60 luxurious corporate aircraft - showcasing the world’s leading manufacturers including family of fleets from Gulfstream, Bombardier, Dassault and Embraer including Legacy, Global Express, BBJ and ACJ.
One thing is for sure, there is no shortage of innovation and dynamism in the region, according to Bombardier’s recent ‘Business Aircraft, Market Forecast 2012-2031’, the Middle East and Africa will receive up to 1,995 business jet deliveries during the 2012- 2031 period with 735 deliveries between 2012 to 2021, and 1,260 from 2022 to 2031.
Organiser’s of MEBA F&E Aerospace, Aerospace Director, Michele Van Akelijen said “There has been an incredible shift in perception for the industry - business jets were once perceived as a form of transportation for the affluent are now considered a vital part of a companies business tool. We are expecting an encouraging turnout from visitors - who will experience first hand some of the industry’s key aircraft parked on our static at MEBA.”
